ROUNDTABLE Feb 12, 2009. 7:00 at 2nd Presbyterian Roundtable is a monthly training opportunity for Cub and Troop leaders and interested parents. We meet downstairs on the second Thursday of each month at Second Presbyterian Church. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. with breakout sessions at 7:30 p.m. Join us and be connected to activities in the District and Council. Leaders and parents can learn about the monthly themes and have questions answered during our "Roundtable" discussion time. Come and check us out and see what is going on in the Thunderbird district.
SCOUT NIGHTSLEEPOVER AT MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES, FEBRUARY 6, 2009.
COST $30.00 PER PERSON, There will be a movie on jumbotron after the game. Popcorn and coke will be served. The meal before game is hot dog & coke and breakfast treats of donuts /juice the next morning. There will be a special giveaway for Scout Night. more info contact Brendan Ragan @ 205-1234.

Join your fellow Scout leaders for a day with top Scouters, hands-on training, face-to-face time with Chickasaw professionals, Scouting program experts, surprises, fun, learning and talking with your fellow Scouters. Classes for every program area of Scouting. For Den Leaders, Webelos Leaders, Cubmasters, Pack Committee, Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Troop Committee, Den Chiefs, Crew Advisors, Assistant Crew Advisors, Crew Committee, District Committee, Commissioners and more.
There's more than enough for one person here. Bring several from your unit. University of Scouting features courses specific to each Scouting program as well as general courses that all Scouters would enjoy. We strongly encourage troops to bring the youth leadership of their troops as well. We have courses that would benefit both adults and youth. Held at:

2009 Memphis Redbirds Scout Sleepover
The Memphis Redbirds would like to invite your scouts to join us for an evening of memories.

Game time 7:05pm Participants will receive: Outfield Box ticket Pre-game Parade. **parade time 6:20pm. Day Camp Join us for Thunderbird Cubstruction activities from June 8-11, 2009. Our "Cubstruction" site will once again be at Faith Christian Church located at Willow and I-240. We will be "working" from 6:00- 8:30 p.m. each night. That's right we are hosting a TWILIGHT camp. Cost for this event is $50.00 and we are encouraging parents to attend with boys. Day Camp is open to all registered Cubs age 7-10. Sorry we will not have room for siblings not in the Cub Scout program. Events will include various building activities, shooting sports, and races. District Banquet - Feb 20, 2009
Don't forget to join us for the New Thunderbird District Rockin' 50's Banquet! There has been a change in the date and venue. The banquet will be Friday, Feb 20th 6:30 PM (meet and greet at 6pm)at Woodland Presbyterian Church on Park Avenue. All District volunteers, Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Den Leaders, parents, and children are welcome. Eagle Scouts and two guests eat free! Come one, come all! Tickets will be available in advance for $10 per person at roundtables and the Scout Office. Be sure to nominate your unit leaders for all of the awards available from the Scout Office. So, submit those applications, invite the recipients, and join us for a night of Sock-Hop fun, food, and fellowship! |
