SCOUTING FOR FOOD REPORT
The Chickasaw Council, Boy Scouts of America located in Memphis,Tennessee, and covering counties in Arkansas & Mississippi, would like to thank everyone who helped us in our "Scouting for Food" event on Saturday, November 17, 2007. Our Scouts went door to door, and also manned donation trucks at local supermarkets throughout their communities in an attempt to obtain donations for the Food Bank. Our efforts to obtain donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items to replenish the shelves of the Food Bank were tremendous. Thanks to your donations with this "Good Turn Service Project", we collected over 36,000 pounds of food. Thank you Scouts, Parents, and Citizens of all of our communities. We'll be back next year - so get ready!
