Camporee
CAMPOREE REPORT
by Dr. George Wood
Wow! What a GREAT Camporee. Perfect weather, great fun and plenty of activity all at a great camping site. We had 19 Troops present. There were 16 activities to participate in. 157 Scouts and 78 adults enjoyed the activities. There were 25 patrols aggressively competing for more than 48 awards! We will rectify the few problems we had with scoring the Fire-Starting Contest. We were a greatly diverse group and we had a great time with good scouting fellowship. What a great district we have!
Special thanks to Crew 341 especially Jim Charbonet and his associates for their selfless dedication to helping all of us. Thanks to the Order of the Arrow for producing a great campfire. Thanks to Charlotte Pumroy for keeping all the data straight.
Most of all thanks for the great work of all the troops who came, participated and even did a conservation project before leaving

Using the square knot, scouts connected several short ropes into a long single rope and threw this rope to a victim on the other side of a 30-foot wide area.
